The absence of dangerous substances for humans allows its use even in 100% NATURAL product formulations. We refer to diethylene glycol and related substances, residual solvents, mycotoxins, pesticides and heavy metals.

In a wholly dedicated plant, we produce refined glycerine suitable for applications that require high-quality standards and control of the production process. Such as the COSMETIC, FOOD and PHARMACEUTICAL sector, for example. Its thermal stability allows companies to use it in applications or manufacturing processes in which the product’s operating conditions are particularly stressful.
- COSMETIC sector: companies use the product GLYCEROL EUR. PH. MIN. 99.5% VEGETABLE ORIGIN as an ingredient in cosmetic formulas. Furthermore, it complies with the requirements set by COSMOS and ECOCERT FRANCE for cosmetic raw materials.
- FOOD SECTOR: the product GLYCEROL E422 FOOD ADDITIVE can be used to prepare food products as it complies with the requirements set by the European Regulation 231/2012.
- PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR: Spiga’s refined glycerin complies with the FOOD ADDITIVE E422 – GLYCEROL specification within the 231/2012 Regulation.
All the phases related to manufacturing, quality control, packaging and warehousing take place in our factory in Carasco (Genoa), allowing us to maintain the overall quality of the supplies constant over time and to manage their delivery not only in Italy but also in the rest of the world in variable quantities from 25 kg to 28 tons according to the needs of the customer. The packaging used (cans, metal drums, IBCs, and tank trucks for bulk products) is qualified and suitable to meet the demands of the pharmaceutical and food sectors.
